Boebert Favors Angertainment Politics Over Bipartisan Solutions for CO-3
WOODY CREEK, CO – Today, Western Slope businessman Adam Frisch, who is running to replace U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) in Colorado’s 3rd congressional district, condemned Boebert for her recent attacks against Disney as the latest example of her preference for Angertainment politics over serving her constituents.
“Once again, it appears Boebert needs to be reminded that she represents the people of Colorado’s 3rd district, not Florida,” Frisch said. “How does this tirade against Disney help anyone in CO-03? It shows her complete disregard for her constituents in Southern and Western Colorado who are facing serious challenges from the Colorado River drought that threatens our farmers’ and ranchers’ ability to put food on our tables, to the rising cost of living that families in this district grapple with every day. When elected, you can count on me to spend my time and energy looking for bipartisan solutions to the issues we face in our district, not engaging in highly politicized attacks against out-of-state companies.”
Boebert signed on to a bill last week to remove no-fly zones from Disney World and Disney Land, the most recent development in Republicans’ ongoing attacks against the company and Boebert’s latest political crusade against what she calls “woke corporations.” Boebert attacked Mickey Mouse in an April tweet and said last week of her support for the legislation, “go woke, go broke.”
Boebert is often found outside of the district serving the interests of out-of-state politicians and building her personal brand. In April, for example, she recently attended a rally for local school board candidates in Texas.
Frisch launched his campaign to oust Boebert in 2024 in February after coming 546 votes shy of defeating Boebert in the 2022 election in a district that was widely considered to be safe for the incumbent congresswoman given its strong Republican lean.
